Saturday, November 11 at 9am
Drake Legal Clinic Courtroom

Sponsored by Galligan Reid, P.C.

DESCRIPTION

Having tried more than 100 cases to juries before the age of 40 and recovered more than half a billion dollars in settlements and jury verdicts, many consider Iowa native Nick Rowley to be the leading trial lawyer of his generation. An Air Force veteran, educator and author, he is renowned for his advocacy skills and dedication to representing injury victims. Nick is deeply committed to pro bono representation of the overcharged and wrongfully accused. He has never lost a criminal trial. He practices at Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley in Los Angeles, California.

Meet and learn from Nick as he leads a discussion on trying your first case, ethical issues in trial work, connecting with the jury, and asking for damages. This opportunity is designed for law students, but new and experienced attorneys alike will enjoy learning from this great trial lawyer.

Admission: Recommended donation of $20 (student) and $40 (attorney). All profits will benefit the food pantry at Bidwell Riverside Center on the south side of Des Moines.

Special guests include Iowa trial attorneys Brian Galligan and Timm Reid.

Seats are not reserved and are available on a strictly first-come, first-serve basis.

Contact Nate Staudt (nathaniel.staudt@drake.edu) with any questions.
