Opening Statements and Examinations

Presenter: Nick Rowley
Topic: Opening Statements and Examinations (10:11)

The opening statement is the first opportunity you have to tell the jury a story. So be upfront and honest, not methodical, boring or expected. In Opening Statements and Examinations, Nick explains and demonstrates the "Pulp Fiction Opening" that he uses to keep the jury’s attention. He also discusses his approach to examinations and emphasizes the importance of not doing cross examinations the way defense lawyers do. Instead be kind and loving but stay connected with the jury and their feelings.
